Christine Woodcock
Inspired by the British landscape, her current work is constructed stitch drawing. This work is much like mine as my work is a huge experiment with the capabilities of different materials to create dimension and depth to my textile design pieces to create tactile and interesting fabrics for fashion.
The unusual use of materials and 3 Dimensional structure of this piece is what caught my eye. Using materials in a more unconventional manner to create something different and original.
Anna Columbine
Her practice explores the relationship and contrast between these two ideas, exploring spaces, places and in/tangible structures. Anna Columbine works across different disciplines such as fine art, textiles and photography. The unsual form she has created with her materials was in instant attraction to me. With form and fabric maniuplation being a huge influence in my work I was intrigued with her work. The techniques and shapes created by the manipulation and cutting of the material and enabled the piece to enter a 3 Dimensional state.
